First Communion Policy

For those enrolling to complete their First Reconciliation and First Communion the following sacramental policies apply:

• A copy of the candidates Baptismal Certificate must be on file with the office.
• There is a mandatory 75% attendance for sacramental prep classes.
• All Sacraments are a two year process.  

First Reconciliation & First Communion Sacramental Prep:

For children receiving their First Reconciliation and First Communion. ONLY enroll if the child has completed a catechesis class in the previous year as this is a two-year program. 

Children must be seven years or older and have completed one year of catechesis prior to entering preparation for First Confession/Eucharist. Preparation for these sacraments takes place during the 2nd grade Faith Formation program classes. Students and parents will attend two Saturday retreats. Since parents serve as the principal catechist for their child’s formation, parents are required to attend the scheduled parent-focused classes.
